This unique item is made from a one-of-a-kind, hand-dyed piece of organic cotton fabric. I paint each piece of fabric with sun-light reactive dye and arrange ferns, leave and flowers on the fabric to make stunning natural designs. The piece is moved into the sunlight with a piece of clear glass on top to keep the plants flat and the design crisp. As soon as I step outside into the UV light, the exposed dye begins to activate. It is left in the sun for 10-15 minutes. The botanicals act as a resist and the dye below is not activated, creating the design. I rinse the fabric with special soap which removes the unactivated dye and then I cut and sew each piece into a practical piece of art.
This long zipper pouch can be used as a soft case for eye glasses or sunglasses or as a small cosmetics bag. It is also a great pouch for keeping small project supplies and notions organized in your project bag.
Sky blue with Alaskan fern design and matching YKK zipper.
Listing is for one item only. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and this is the actual piece that you will receive. The last 2 pic are for size reference only.
